Meet The Doctors

Sam Bakuri, DMD, MSD

Dr. Bakuri says the most rewarding part of dentistry is seeing how his work improves his patients’ lives. “I enjoy my job every day,” he says. “I love the happy tears, the hugs and when people say, ‘Thank you for making me smile again.’ We give our patients a great experience and results that will last.”

A board-certified periodontist, Dr. Bakuri provides seminars and continuing education courses for other dental professionals. He is a previous professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry and has lectured internationally on dental implants and implant procedures. He is proud to say that Greater Pittsburgh Dental Implants & Periodontics serves more dentists and their families than any other periodontist in the area.

Dr. Bakuri received his dental degree from the prestigious Ivy League University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine; he also has a Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate in Periodontics from Virginia Commonwealth University. He received the J. George Coslet Award for Periodontics from the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Golden Key Honor Society.
