Comprehensive Oral Examinations
We begin by asking that you complete a questionnaire covering topics related to dental problems you may be experiencing. This provides us with a foundation for determining what type of care you need. The doctor then conducts a comprehensive oral exam. Patients often comment that it was, “The most thorough exam I’ve ever had.” The exam includes an evaluation of your smile and bite, as well as a screening for oral cancer.
Experienced Periodontal (Gum) Exam
As periodontal disease has been linked to heart disease and strokes, the health of your gums is as important as the health of your teeth. The doctor will do a clinical exam of your gums and record the findings. This information makes it possible to track your progress and keep abreast of any changes in your oral health.
Evaluating Bone Loss
Digital X-rays are used to determine the current condition of your teeth, and to see if there are any cavities or other problems.
Comprehensive Consultation
After we have gathered and reviewed the results of your examination, we will provide you with a complete diagnosis of any problem areas and discuss options for treatment. Our doctors interview you personally and take the time to get to know you and understand your dental needs. We listen carefully to your concerns and answer all of your questions.
