We Listen to You
Dr. Bakuri interviews you personally, and really takes the time to get to know you and understand your dental needs. We listen carefully to your concerns and answer all of your questions. We want you to know us as well and feel comfortable and confident with the care we provide.
Gentle, Thorough Oral Examinations
We begin by asking that you complete a questionnaire covering topics related to dental problems you may be experiencing. This provides us with a foundation for determining what type of care you need and want.
Dr. Bakuri conducts a very comprehensive oral exam. In fact, patients often comment that it was, “The most thorough exam I’ve ever had.” The exam includes an evaluation of your smile and bite, as well as a screening for oral cancer.
Your medical and dental history provide us with a foundation for diagnosis.
Experienced Periodontal (Gum) Exams
As periodontal disease has been linked to heart disease and strokes, the health of your gums is as important as the health of your teeth.
Dr. Bakuri will do a clinical exam of your gums, checking the depths of the pockets between your teeth and gums, and record this information with our special voice-activated charting software. Having your dental exams recorded provides a quick, visual means for tracking your progress and keeping abreast of any changes in your oral health.

Evaluating Bone Loss
Digital X-rays are used to determine the current condition of your teeth, and to see if there are any cavities or other problems.
We use digital X-rays for their speed and accuracy; plus, they emit far less radiation than conventional X- rays.
Visualizing the Outcome
We may use physical study models to provide a three-dimensional visualization of the current state of your mouth. We can then add wax to manipulate the model to show you the proposed outcome of your treatment.
